Forced landing at Sandtoft 10-12-08
I was completeing my pre-flight checks today at Sandtoft,when I heard over the radio another aircraft which had just taken off reporting that another aircraft that had just taken off before him ,had forced landed in a field a couple of hundred metres past the end of runway 23.Not sure of the type,but it was a large wingspan powered glider.Glad to report that the two occupants were OK,and would appear the pilot did a great job.Well done also to a nearby R22 pilot who guided the fire chaps to the scene.PHEW!
