Do you have a PayPal account? I'll send you a fiver, and I'll cheerfully find my way to Glasgow if I win the Chippie draw, though it's a bit of a step for a night at the pictures.

Hi AA, if you managed up that would be great, its a bit of a trek for an afternoon showing as you say, if you did win the prize you would need to make your way back up to Scotland again.

Yes a paypal account has been set up what to do is email the address on the poster and specify that you are a non member (if you are a member obviously specify that but also include your membership number) then Ill send out a request for the money and an e-ticket/confirmation of some shape or form will end up with you upon receipt of the money. This makes things easier for me as all I need to do is mark you off on the list when you present said e-ticket/confirmation.

Chippik - I'll happily pay Stelios some cash to get back into a Chippie again. Thirty years ago next week I solo'd one for the first time

I'm much too far away, but if you let India-Mike know, he should be able to make sure that all of Glasgow University's Aerospace students and staff know. I imagine that you'll get a few takers from them.

Hi Andrew,

Didn't know the Air League were active up in Scotland.

Have printed out a picture as a poster for the clubhouse at Strathaven Airfield.

In the meantime, why not get in touch and see what we can do together to promote flying,

Very best wishes,

Colin

Hi Genghis, thanks for that - I know India Mike quite well so Ive emailed him the poster which he is kindly going to promote on my behalf at the Aero section

Xrayalpha, They have members up in Scotland though I don't believe there have been any events held before so Id thought I would give it a try and organise things for existing members whilst trying to promote the League in Scotland &/ North England.
Thank you very much for doing that for me as well, we should get in touch soon

Genghis/Chippik

Posters have duly been posted in the Aero Dept at Glasgow Uni. I'll get some posted at Glasgow Flying Club and Dundee as well next week (I get about a bit.......)

Didn't the Swift just look all wrong

Chippik should be supported in this as far as possible, although distances may be off-putting even for those based up here.

He's the only man I know who'll need differences training to fly a tricycle aeroplane again

Chippik - just sent you £5.00 to the address on the poster, via Paypal. I'll be attending in spirit only, as it's a long, long way, but please enter me in the draw for the flight, and make sure you draw the correct ticket...

AA: Thank you for that, you are the only one who has purchased a ticket thus far (although I know that India Mike and 2/3 others are joining the party) so your chances are somewhat high in terms of winning the prize.

If anyone else is intending to attend please please purchase your tickets as soon as possible, I was hoping for a bigger uptake but unfortunately it seems to have fallen a bit flat.
