Popham airfield has C-150 aerobat going for £95 wet (need 100hr TT).
V. slightly fewer of each. £90 / 80 hours - but if you are used to cessnas, it could be 60 by arrangement. You also need to take into account club membership, landing fees etc. Popham rolls them into one for not much over £100 per year.

The hours thing comes about as we don't teach for the PPL, being unlicensed so the owner cuts costs on the insurance quote by accepting a 'minimum hours' limitation As an aside on this 'hours' thing, I'm not sure why insurance companies quote for 'total time' at the lower end of the market. It's only a feeling (no figures) but I would have thought 'time after licence' might be more relevant. Someone with 80 hours might have just got a licence and have little experience, or might have had 35 hours post licence experience with an IMC rating,

Irv,

Very nice to see a Popham insider here! I fly at Lasham, couple of miles from Popham. With £90wet/80TT, I will definitely join Popham once I have the hours. Popham is attractive for me for having a C150 aero as I'm into aerobatics. It will be nice to do some aerobatics while build some hours. I heard that there is no landing fees as well once a full member(£100/yr), isn't it? WIth these, I think popham is probably one of the most affordable place to fly in the UK.

There is a SF-25C Falke (TMG) in lasham going for £63/hr wet. I plan to build up to 80 hours on it.
