Garmin PC interface cable.

Garmin 196 interface cable. Where can I get an adaptor from male to female or do I fork out for a USB for £40+ ?

Serial port adaptor

In my experience the serial port adaptors do not work with the Garmin 196. I have not tried a serial/USB adaptor. I was reccommended to install a serial port card into the computer and use it that way.

Best of luck Chris

Cheapo USB serial port adapter from eBay + existing 196 cable works perfectly for me - on several different PCs, a couple of different 196s and a 96.
