Flying Schools/Clubs in Cairns

Hi all,

I am a Brit looking to head down-under for some hour building. I am investigating Cairns as I have family and sofas to sleep on there...

Can anyone recommend a good school for some training and inexpensive aircraft hire?

Thanks.

JT

Thumbs up Flying Clubs in Cairns

Hi James, The folk at the North Qld Aero Cub are friendly and have good aeroplanes.

Give Sally or Kerry a call, and check their web site

Cairns is not a good place for cheap aircraft hire - no competition. However, it may be cheaper than UK

I flew at NQAC in WHK with Sally a few years ago while on holiday.
Great fun and good experience - there's a big hill that completely blocks your view of the runway while downwind for 15. All that plus of course the thrill of "follow the 737 on final".
Enjoy!
