On Sunday 21st September 2008, Wolverhampton & South Staffs Car Club are hosting a round of the British Autotest Championship at Halfpenny Green Airfield. In conjunction with this, the airfield are offering visiting pilots half price landing fees for the day, to allow a flying visit to watch the top names in British Autotesting in action.

RADIO - 123.00 C/S HALFPENNY GREEN INFORMATION

NON RADIO AIRCRAFT TO RING PRIOR TO DEPARTURE

FIXED WING CIRCUITS L/H, HELICOPTER CIRCUITS R/H, JOINING AIRCRAFT NOT TO DESCEND BELOW 1300FT QFE ON THE DEAD SIDE.

Bumped back to the top, shame we clash with the Wiltshire Fly In, at least gives people a bit of choice, or a round trip

Yeah I found that website but couldn't actually see anything to do with Halfpenny Green on there.

Where is the racing actually taking place?

The autotest is taking place on the old market area, behind the public carpark, a short stroll from the control tower.

One of the test areas has been laid out so that it sits right behind the carpark offering some good viewing opportunities.

Although this isnt a full blown wings and wheels event, Im told this morning that there may be some ex military vehicles in attendance also.
