Bournemouth GA Handling
If intending to use Bournemouth be advised that the GA handling parking area has now moved to the far north side of the aerodrome, west of the old runway 17 threshold, top of taxiway W.
This is far removed from the terminal area, bus connections and main taxi ranks 2.5 miles away and if caught up in the rush hour traffic could take up to 30 mins.
Allow for additional taxi time to 26 hold and probable delays in fuel uplift, book early in plenty of time before departure, due to tankers having to cross main runway.

Oh! And when planning to visit, be aware of the wind direction and the airport Fire Fighting Training dates & times.
The new handling location is almost next door to the fire training ground and the simulated-A/C-thingy - Lots of lovely greasy choking black smoke - Just the place to welcome the executives and VIP's not to mention the GA paupers. Even the chaffinches and lapwings are starting to cough.
Can't see a 'handling office' building there just yet - perhaps an old portacabin or the hulk of one of the delerict airframes (Jumbo/Canberra etc) will be provided to protect visitors from the rain and smoke - who knows?
Agree with Yankee - The place is remote and, to some, difficult to find

They've only been there a week, I'm sure they'll get it tidied up soon and sign posted like everything else on that side of the airfield.
The whole airport is turning into a building site at the mo. It'll be interesting to see how things develop.
