Biggin Hill 2008 Fly In

Just a heads up. Biggin Hill inform me that anyone wishing to fly in to this year's airshow (7th, 8th June) will need to book a slot at Redhill EGKR.

A coach is laid on to and from the show on both days and a campsite is available at EGKR.

If any one would like details, please PM me.

Regards

Has this been organised by Air Displays International (the organisers of the Biggin show)?

Where do I find the information?

Flying visitors have not been accepted for the last few Biggin Airshows (for the last 3 years at least) so has this been done at Redhill before or is this the first year?

As there is no "Biggin Hill 2008 Fly In" perhaps the title of this thread could be changed as appropriate.

This arrangement has been entered into at the request of the organisers of the Biggin Air Fair. It would appear that they/Biggin ATC have had several enquiries about flying in.

Yes it has. Unfortunately it is not up on the Biggin Hill Website as yet - but should be imminently!

This is the "Biggin hill fly-in" as visiting light aircraft will not be accepted there from the 6th to the 9th June. Anyone wishing to do so will be searching for this information, so I think the title is appropriate. Unlike previous years, Redhill is being much better organised with a package of tickets, transport, camping and subsidised landing fees and overnight parking laid on. Redhill is officially nominated as the satellite airfield.

If you would like further info, please PM me and I can forward it to you. There is also a NOTAM to this effect.

New info: Landing slots etc at Redhill for aircraft visiting the Biggin Hill Airshow can be obtained from:

+44 (0) 845 869 0854. [email protected]

(Naturally, this does not apply to the usual bizjet traffic or display aircraft.)

Cheers
