Lucky escape after biplane crash

Two men escaped from the plane with minor injuries

Two men have escaped with minor injuries after their aircraft crashed in Perthshire.

The aircraft, thought to be a 78-year-old Gipsy Moth biplane, landed on its nose in a field of oilseed rape shortly after taking off from Perth airport.

Tayside Police said initial inquiries indicated the plane suffered from loss of power due to mechanical failure.

The men on board, a pilot and his one passenger, were aged 64 and 57. The aircraft came down at about 1155 BST.

Why does G-Info make interesting reading? It's permit is valid and I can't see anything else to get excited about.
