Shares at Gamston, Netherthorpe or Sandtoft

I have an itching to get to grips with aircraft ownership, is anybody aware of any group shares available at Gamston, Netherthorpe or Sandtoft? 2 or 4 seater, CoA or PFA!

Cheers!

I will drop him a line, but that advert was a couple of years ago, so I had discounted it! I guess Sturgate is also an option...

I have been round these airports (although not for a few months) and I find a surprisingly small amount of adds for shares....

I know the area as I've been in a few groups at these fields. The best way is to become "known" and let it be known that you are looking for a share in an aeroplane... most shares aren't advertised. Try chatting to the instructors when they're not busy, they often have an ear to the ground... good luck, I hope you find something suitable.

PS... don't leap in too quick... joining a syndicate is like getting married!

PPS... People join and leave groups so the Pup might have a share or someone thinking of selling... no harm in asking. I think every pilot at Gamston has had a share in NS at some time (me included)!

If you wanted to come a little further south to Spanhoe my mate is just putting a group together around a Cherokeee 140 as well. Very cheap shares and operating costs.

Thanks Bose

It's a shame, but I think that's a bit far afield for me...

We have a guy that comes from your neck of the woods already and 3 that come up from North Weald!

My wife drives to see her Gran in Mansfield most Saturday mornings.

Spanhoe is available 24/7 with lights and no landing fees etc.

Just a thought.

Hi Bigfoot01,

There's a share going in a Cessna 150 at Netherthorpe at the moment. £1500 for the share, £40 per month and £37 an hour. Great airfield and a great atmosphere. Lots of availability. PM me if you would like more details.

Me too

I'd like to bump on the end of this thread, too. Currently flying out of Netherthorpe but looking for a share in a C172, C177B or something with enough grunt to take 3 x normal-sized chubbies a decent distant at more than 90kt! Gamston or Nethers would be ideal. Sandtoft, Sturgate and Breighton possible too.

Certified or permit considered, but if permit would like enough instrumentation for IMC training...

Thanks,

Matt.

Also dipping a toe in the water at the moment. Would consider Sandtoft, but Gamston etc. a bit far. Breighton would be ideal, along with Sherburn or Full Sutton.

Aircraft must have two seats+ anything else a bonus.

Gamston, Netherthorpe, Sandtoft.

I too am still looking for a share from any of the above mentioned airfields.

I put a post on another forum but haven't really had any luck. PPL'd at Nethers, now flying a PA28 from Sandtoft. Would like something with a reasonable load carrying ability to be able to do a bit of touring and am opening my mind towards LAA types.

I won't hold my breath but thought it might be worth another punt!

Assuming it's the one at Mount Airey - need to have a good long think about that one as it's not far from where I live.
