GA airfield near marbella
Hi. Does anyone know of a GA airfield near marbella that would be happy to rent me a plane for a couple of hours with an instructor? I'm off on holiday in the summer and would love to fly for a morning or afternoon if I could.
Thanks

Not very near, I know, but an option is Aeroclub de Malaga based in La Axarquia (LEAX): http://www.aeroclubmalaga.com/index.html
You can rent a Warrior III for 225 euro, FI included.
Also you have Aerodynamics FTO in Malaga Intl Airport, a bit nearer to Marbella, but this airport is not very GA friendly during the summer, when some restrictions are applied for GA: http://www.aerodynamics-malaga.com/
Hope this helps...

I know that Aerodynamics Malaga will do that, from their base in Axarquia (around 60 miles from Marbella). Their price is about €160.- for a 172, safety pilot included.
Others here are far more familiar with the area and will be able to give you better advice in due time, but for now that's what I can offer.
Hmm... crossed posts with the above

Along the coast the only realistic option is Aerodynamics, who now base most of their a/c at LEAX / Axarquia. You can rent from the 'Real Aeroclub' there, but need to become a member to get halfway decent rates.
As for Granada, there is a school/club there, but I don't have details. Google them. That said, LEAX is not too far from Granada, so that could work also.
One thing to bear in mind is that radio is Spanish only at LEAX, due to some anal regs by the club based there (not Aerodynamics fault!). Aerodynamics will provide a crib sheet with the relevant phrases.
HTH.

I wasn't aware that Aerodynamics was now operating from LEAX.
About Granada, give a look at this link: http://www.nivel195.com/en/index.html
you can do even some loops there with a Super Decathlon....
Granada Airport has less commercial traffic than Malaga by far, so less hassles for we the GA.
