Bournemouth Flying Clubs

Well.. soon to start at the NATS college in Bournemouth, would like to join a local flying club to keep the hand in (albeit the meagre trainee salary doesn't suggest a lot of spare cash availability, but that will be my problem )

I know there's plenty of flying clubs in the area, any suggestions ? Usual C172 / PA28 types preferrable.

(Would also look at groups/shares, but the temporary nature of my stay, hopefully not more than 9-12 months, probably doesn't make that an option).

Thank you

Ivor

Bournemouth Flying Club springs to mind. I thought you ATCO trainees got 20 odd hours of flying anyway....

I'll believe it when I see it
Last I heard was 15 hours, and that's only for Aerodrome trainees. But that was a few years ago, I don't know if they still do it.

Ivor

I belong to a group at Bourenmouth flying a Grumman AA-5B Tiger. Availability and flying rates are very favourable. PM me if you are interested in the details.

Cheapest option might be microlighting out of Compton or Old Sarum....

It's Thrusters (I think...) at CA, but OS has some nice C42's.
