About dangerous flying - wrong habits, situations etc..

I want to use this 3d to discuss about dangerous situations created by pilots (any) because of wrong habits, high risk taken and any other "fault" which may lead to a potential dangerous situation, even those which may be taught by flight schools etc..
If you have any experience or advice about flight safety, especially regaridng GA/VFR flying than please use this space to share your story or give advice!

I don't know who jeremy vine is (well, know I do, thank you google) but the use of this 3d should be to share personal information and experience with other pilots in order to avoid those "common errors", to learn from others! I don't know yet where to start from so I wait for other people replies.

This could be a set-up by the press. A bit too general IMHO.

I once had a really frightening experience on landing. The weather was awful, the plane seemed to swing wildly and we became terrifyingly low. Looking out I seemed to be so close to nearby buildings that I could almost see into people's houses. I am sure that the airspeed was too low, and was convinced that at any moment we would plunge out of the sky and hurtle into the houses, offices (and probably schools) below ....

Last time I fly BA into Hong Kong ...

Does this help you ?

Well for a start most flight schools I've had experiences with dont turn out students that wear hoodies and carry knives...but I have seen the odd one picking his nose, leaves a nasty mess on the transmit button.

Never wash your whites with your coloureds, never drink red wine less than 3 years old and never underestimate the power of women...

I once suggested we split the bill equally between the crew. Does that count?

I once took a thread like this seriously and had to my sense of humour surgically re-implanted. That was very dangerous as the surgeon tried to put it in my brain instead of in my balls.
