Temporary Norfolk Winter Base
The Norfolk Gliding Club, based at Tibenham Airfield, are offering owners in the local and wider area a temporary base for their aircraft during the winter months. For a monthly charge you can have access a hardstanding from which you can use the airfields 3 long, wide runways. The airfield has an on-site manager and there is a restaurant which serves hot and cold food 4 days a week. AVGAS will be available to you with a members discount and their will be no landing fees.
This idea came about as last year there were many people who could not fly due to waterlogged airstrips, hopefully this facility will provide an alternative to pilots' in that position.
