I have actually - yes, my reply was somewhat UK-centric.


The only flying I've done myself in Oz was from Jandakot to Rotto. But I have seen the thousands of miles of nothing out of the windows of various airliners, including a 747 from Sydney to Perth.

Certainly the only time I ever used the 1 in 60 rule was in a flight test, because I knew the examiner would be expecting me to do it.
