Garmin G600

Anyone out there fitted a G600 yet ?

How is it ?

Can a mode S xponder give you TIS in Europe on the G600 ?

There is no TIS in Europe, anywhere as far as I know.

TIS is an US only system as far as I know.
ATC software needs to be TIS compatible for the signal to be able to "piggyback" on the Mode S transponder.
TIS will be phased out in the US over the next 5 years in favor of ADS-B.
So we are slowly losing TIS compatible ATC radars,being replaced by ADS-B compatible equipment.
