Tartantastic Fly In - Fife(Glenrothes) Airport - EGPJ
Programme of Events – this is being finalized and will be issued shortly. Please keep an eye on the website. However here are some initial details. (some of this is more relevant to visiting aircraft).
Free Landing Fees to all visiting aircraft - however we will accept voluntary donations for Rachel House Children’s Hospice.
Aerobatic Trial Lessons
Syd Utting will be providing Introductory Aerobatic Lessons in a Grob for club members. The lessons comprise a briefing followed by 45 mins flying. The usual training rates apply.
Anyone wishing to have a go should book a slot in the usual manner. In the event that this is overbooked then names will be drawn from a hat.
CompetitionsDuring the day there will be several competitions to test you flying skills including Flour Bombing, Spot Landing and Balloon Bursting. Briefings will be held prior to each competition commencing.
Club members wishing to participate can hire aircraft from Tayside Aviation in the usual manner. Students are also encouraged to see if their Instructor might be up for something a little different.
There will also be prizes for visiting aircraft:
- Furthest Traveled
- Shortest Traveled (Hangar 1 doesn't count!)
- Best Turned Out Aircraft
BBQ & Restaurant
There will be a BBQ from 12 noon. Additionally, the Tipsy Nipper Restaurant and Bar will be open as usual. Advance booking is recommended.
Evening Entertainment
The fun will extend into the evening with an informal social gathering in the Marquee with licensed bar and music. The Tipsey Nipper Restaurant is also available for Dinner. Advance booking is recommended.
