Fly-UK (or the Round-Britain)
Did anyone take part in this years' (or any other years) Fly-UK microlight challenge? I'd like to do it next year, and wonder what tips/advice/comments folk might have.

If you want to join in fly UK go for it!
This years wasn't the best. I'm waiting for a decent weather forecast so that i can jet up to Inverness and fly a mates quik back to the south coast. He made a good piloting decision and turned back when the weather viz and general conditions in the great glen made it too risky to continue to oban. He ran out of time off and had to come back by jet.
I haven't joined in with fly uk but have done most of the route in company with another flex. Miss out on the numbers in the bar at night but was able to choose a good weather period. (probably the only 5 days of consecutive sunshine and light winds in Scotland ever).
If you do join in next year, make sure you do your own planning and be prepared to sit on the ground if necessary
