Yes it was a great day indeed! I'll post some later if nobody else does. Some of the Shuttleworth aircraft flew in, the N3N from Sandown, the Dart Kitten (my favourite), loads of Dehav's ..... in fact so many interesting aeroplanes it would take forever to list them.

I got a few photos of the Lancaster as it went over, but we were too busy in the control caravan to take photos this year.
Which is a GOOD thing!
Thanks for all the continued support for this event.

Would like to see some pictures of the "Interesting" arrivals / landings on the saturday.
For those that didn't go the weather was a bit blustery (I was making about 40kts g/s on the way there, 30kts down the final approach track... no bomber command circuits for me, it would take all day to get back to the runway
)
Anyway, a GRAND day out....
One more observation...why when it rains do i ALWAYS end up with a wet knee when flying my aeroplane? Why can't it leak somewhere else for change?

Hi Bex,
What's your reg? I doubt I have any, but I'm curious to see what your "new" (ok, I know you've had it a while now) aeroplane looks like.
Glad I went Sunday, my ground speed may have been in minus figures Saturday. Mind you, a helicopter style arrival would have been quite neat

Here's an eight minute youtube video of the G-VFWE I've put up. Hope the music doesn't drive you nutty

Now I'm catching up with what I missed whilst at work, I'm even more envious.
What a Classical Gas. Ivan's landings don't disturb the camera at all - unlike some Youtube offerings!
Maybe next year....

Thanks Champchump, I think Ron's gliding instruction all those years ago, has more than a little to do with that! However, they're certainly not all smooth, especially at the home strip where it's sometimes even necessary to "thump" it down SS
