Slovakia for a PPL

Im thinking of a trip to Slovakia in a Cessna 177 VFR anybody any experience i.e are the natives friendly as in ATC only previous experience out of U.K. usual visit to France that all new PPLs try. will be starting in the North West so any advice on route greatly appreciated i.e. the most realistic and shortest sea crossing I am a 200 hour ppl with I.M.C. so not exactly experienced
