There is a book about the old RAF station there, can't remember the title for the life of me. There is still quite a lot of the infrastructure in situe there, just off the A38 a couple of miles north of Lichfield.

Fradley

I live here and there isnt an airstrip left that I can see. The airfields are owned by www.leavesley.com I believe but they are rented out to companies. Try www.afspc.info/fradley.php or www.fradley-park.co.uk for more info. Local model plane flying is about all that goes on here nowadays.

Is it a flying event? The only 2 flyables within a mile are Sittles Farm and Roddige; both to the East.

There's also a strip a bit further away in Streethay, right next to the A38/canal/Railway line

I think Lockyears may be a bit behind it. Mick Shea's current number is 01283 792193 although 07767 474847 is more practicable as he's rarely in the office. His Website is, http://www.microlightschool.org.uk/
