Congratulations pchappo!!!
What did it feel like when you were up there on your own?
My own first solo seemed quite businesslike - just a case of getting on with it. But I still remember every minute of it - and doing the pre-takeoff checks out loud at least twice!!

Congratulations mate,
Its a day you'll never forget, and the grin might last a while yet.
I'll never forget that feeling turning final and looking to the left to see an empty seat!! AHHHHHHHHH

Well done
Were you terrified or did you feel ready ? I am at 9hours with Air Law & Medical passed. I think I'm getting there, but the idea fears me with total dread at the moment but when I get there I'll be totally exhilirated.
I'm so jealous, you did it!

I was literally terrified of going solo around 9 hours.
I thought bl**dy hell how am I going to be ready at 10 hrs which everyone reckons is the normal time.
Several of my very experienced pilot pals told that the instructor would know when I was ready,I probably wouldn't.
I went solo around 18 hrs but still got my PPL licence in 53 hours, which aint bad for an old un!
(just passed 63 when I got it)
My CFI said
"It is not a race,it doesn't matter how long it takes, and if you solo in record time, you could still end up a crap pilot"
Enjoy and good luck.

Congratulations!
I remember on mine, deciding that I didn't need the Intercom on with the Instructor not being there, and then had to quickly turn it back on during climbout as it did not feel right not hearing yourself narrating what you were doing!
Is this normal or was I as mad as a box of frogs?

Congratulations mate. I remember mine last year (27/7) still gain a cheesy grin thinking of it!! When I had done the single circuit and taxied back to the hangar my instructor was waiting for me with the camera phone. After the obligatory picture I jumped down and kissed the ground. Unfortunately I have only managed about 1 hour solo since then, but it still feels un-nerving each time!
Enjoy - we will all get there in the end..
