Great Ashfield

Anybody know if this airfield is still active in any way? I'd like to visit a friend nearby in my chippy.

a hangar went up there last year - have seen a 172 on the ground - so there must be some flying.

Haven't got any info, but I believe somebody operates a Cessna 172 out of there.

Alternatives: Rougham (grass)
Knetishall ? (Honington MATZ; NOTAM activated)
Old Buckenham (Splendid establishment.)

My son has just informed me that Gt Ashfield is used for vehicle storage (heavy goods) and similar such things. Don't know if runway is likely to be obstructed.
