AIC Refers...

In some Notams there is a comment that a particular colour and ID number AIC refers.

My question is, do those AIC documents ever get changed? For example, let's say Mauve 123 is created and referenced from a Notam. Subsequently someone realises that there was a mistake in that document. Does Mauve 123 get edited or does Mauve 456 get created and the Notam updated to refer now to Mauve 456?
