Bolt Head Strip
Anyone flown in there? This strip seems to have first appeared in Pooley's last year (under Salcombe), then again this year, and is shown on the current half-mill chart.
I'm interested in going there, but would like first hand experience as to the quality of the surface. My a/c has firm oleos and fairly small nose wheel, and lands and lifts off relatively fast, and I normally only use hard runways.
I'm happy on good grass, which I rate Bodmin, Compton Abbas, Old Sarum as having. Sywell 03/21 is not as good, but OK. After one visit, Sandown is a 'never again'.
With this info, how would one rate Bolt Head?
While I'm at it, any comments on present state of runways at Rochester?
Best grass by far, like a bowling green, was Hilversuum in Holland!

Sorry, I read "bolt head strip" and thought that the advice to use a box end spanner, rather than pliers might be helpful, but maybe not so much...
