Old approach simulator?? anyone know who makes this?
It looks like a desktop variant of a GAT simulator. Can't tell you much more, I'm afraid. Last remember seeing it advertised in magazines in the 70's, maybe 80's.

Be careful when you plug it in....
My AME used to have one of those in his office.
One day, after he signed my medical I asked him if it worked.
He replied...'I dunno, lets find out.'
When he pluged it into the electrical wall outlet, the 'machine' started emiting rather thick clouds of black smoke....sort of reminding me of the 707 I once flew.
After the fire department guys left, the walls needed repainting.
