Off to Scotland for a couple of weeks and need to source an aviation liferaft. Anyone know where I can hire one?

Depending on your routeing, you could possibly pick one up in Wick (EGPC). Handy for Orkney and Shetland. Try Andy Bruce at Far North Aviation on 01955-602201. He holds immersion suits etc., as well.

Try your local flying school - they may have one to rent... The one I fly from does but it's a bit far from you.

SEMS are the best. Really good rates, something like £30pw or £200 pa for a decent raft. Ask for rates on lifejackets and blobby suits too. Their motto is "we want to you come back" i.e. repeat business hence the word-of-mouth recommendations and pricing.
