Balloons over Basingstoke
I was watching the (I think) Royal Signals Parachute Display team doing their drop over Basingstoke today at about 4pm.
I can't actually find a NOTAM to say that they were displaying, which might explain why a PA28 flew South to North underneath them, right through their drop, when they were under their canopies...
How the pilot didn't see them with all the smoke and a huge eff off flag hanging from the bottom guy I don't know, all I can say is that they and the PA28 pilot (and passengers) were very, very lucky.
