Portugal Customs requirements

Hi,

Flying down to Portugal on Wednesday, to Portimao in the Algarve. Does anyone know the customs requirements. Seeing as i am an EU citizen and it's an EU country there is no need??

Any help appreciated

FWIW, I'm doing the same (wx permitting - looks at the mo) on Monday Malaga - Porto. Have been informed no customs/immigration requirements, as both Schengen countries. I assume you will be stopping for fuel/coffee somewhere in Schengenland (Spain, I imagine), in which same should apply.

Here the nos of the Portuguese Immigration Service:

As I understand it, when traveling from the UK, to the Schengen area (and again when leaving) you must pass through a customs airport. Once inside the area you can freely move from one Schengen country to another.

OK, now back at LEMG (alas - great trip!), and can confirm: no customs, immigration requirements between Spain and Portugal. A/c was on EC register and occupants EU nationals.

I just got back from Portimao, spoke to customs guys on the number that someone on this thread gave me and they were happy for me to do LPPM to Jersey. I'd never done the trip before, had very little wind so I did LPPM direct to a private strip not far from Farnborough....took 5hrs 4mins pretty long time though.
