Sarajevo
I'm probably going to Sarajevo this weekend with other 5 GA aircraft, departing Italy, via Split or Brac.
Any local info, suggestions, do and don'ts?
Thanks.

My top tip for that area is to phone up each major airfield en route, tell them where you want to route, and ask whether there is anything you need to know.
I think they prefer IFR type routings i.e. along VORs and intersections. You just need a GPS.
The best English, I have found, is spoken at Tirana (LATI). Not sure how long one's wheels would last if one landed there, but probably longer than at Liverpool

Well, the last time I was there was in the back of a USAF C130 - and the crew were releasing the aluminium-foil thingies to deflect incoming stuff
On a more peaceful and recent note: check for 100LL avail. Shouldn't be problem along the coast (loads of Germans / Austrians flying spamcans down there) but vaguely remember flight planning a trip a couple of years back where this came up as an issue (didn't go in the end).
