Vans RV6 pilots in NW England?

I will be visiting family in Ambleside in (probably) the last week of July - staff travel permitting. I am in the middle of the test period of my RV6 here in Australia and will miss her terribly while I'm away! Are there any RV taildragger pilots in the area who would tolerate a visiting pilot and may be take her for a fly???

Well up to recently at least, and the owner has lived in Aus too so will probably be able to understand you!

You may want to e-mail the Lancashire Aero Club via their website for an update.

RV6,
Your best bet would be to put a message on the UK RV mailing list. You'll need to register first, but thye'll be able to put you in contact with any RV pilots in the area. Given that there aren't many (if any) airfields in the central lake district area, you may find that you have to travel a bit to somewhere like Carlisle or Kirkbride.

If you're passing Oxford way, I'd be happy to oblige. As said before, the RV squadron on Yahoo groups is seen by a fair proportion of RV builders and owners here, and for someone with such impeccable taste in aeroplanes you should find someone.
Sadly, not many airfields close to Ambleside, so you may have to travel a bit.

Best of luck.

Many thanks for your responses, folks. I should be able to find a friendly face from the contacts you've given me.
Cheers
