Flying in Poland is not a problem. You will find the staff at Gdansk to be particularly helpful and you may even get an armed guard for your aircraft whilst you are there...! Cannot comment on Belorus as I havn't been there.

Flt..

Did Gdansk last month. No problems. Enter and leave Polish airspace via the recognised Reporting Points.
Routed on a VFR flight plan from Visby, in Gotland, south over the wet stuff via PENOR into their airspace. They routed us from the border via the Gdansk VRPs (which are not printed on the Jeppesen chart and which you should transpose from the Polish AIP info as they'll expect you to know them - also be aware of the tall aerial close to the east of the airfield - the top is above you!).
On landing some military chaps meet you, wait for you to take out all your luggage and then seal your canopy closed "For security reasons". Fuel is cheap 4.92 zloty/ltr (GBP£0.85 or so) - Credit Cards accepted.
The securty blokes escorted us off the premises via the security office (they used their golf buggy to help carry the luggage - nice of them).
After security we were on our own - Plenty of taxis - We stayed in a Convent! "The House of St. Brigida in Danzica" - Ate and dined well - there are some superb restaurants Try the "Red Door" or "Restaurancja w Palacu Opatow" .
Leaving; We found asking at the Info.desk to be the easist solution, they sort of guided us through - You have to go via the Iternational departure lounges via passport checks and luggage scanners - the the secutiy chaps escort you out to the Flight Clearance office (A modern building about 100yards from the security gate - Look for the usual "C" sign) The very nice ladies in there will take your fees for navigation charges (about £22), file your flight plans, sell you charts - Beware - Do not think you've paid for everything ! - There is a bloke round the corner, down the corridor who is sat waiting for you to pay your landing & parking fees (Can't remember ths cost but it wasn't very much - Credit cards OK for fees etc)
Once all accomplished it was out to the aeroplanes and away we went - Very relaxed control. We were on our way to Heringsdorf, Germany (near Peenemunde). Once clear of tehir immediate control zone it was a matter of : "Call us at the Border", which we did! No hassle. Nice people. Modern airport.

Glad to hear you liked it here
Any other opinions about Polish ATC? Especially in Krakow (EPKK)?
I work there and any feedback would be helpful
