Southwest Backcoutry Strips?

Hello! I am wondering if anyone has any information on backcountry strips in new mexico, arizona, utah, idaho, or wyoming? We are looking to go camping next weekend in a cessna 210. We would like at least a 2500 foot dirt/grass/turf strip that is secluded with nice scenery. It is hard to find websites with very much information. Something near the grand canyon would be great! Any help would be much appreciated!!

I think this is mostly used by UK pilots, but someone might be able to help you. If you don't get any replies, try the US specific forum.

For some ideas, mabye get the "Out There....Flying" DVD of Backcountry strips in Utah, or contact the Backcountry Flying Association of Utah, they seem to be good at that sort of stuff. I don't have a link sorry, but a google would find them I'm sure!

I'd head for Idaho, have a look at FlyIdaho for some ideas. There are a few real nice strips in Frank Church-River wilderness, not sure if you can fly into them anymore as the forest service got nasty, but AOPA might have had them opened again since I last heard.
