Insurance for trips

Im doing a trip round europe in a C-172 this summer and would like to know if there is any insurance cover that will cover my personal belongings and any possible medical expenses? I am guessing that general travel insurance will not cover me as i am flying myself privately and that the aircraft insurance will only cover what happens to the aircraft. Any help would be appreciated.

Make sure you have a European Health Insurance Card (assuming you are a EU resident). This will at least cover most of your medical expenses in another EU country, and the card is free.

Available from your social services.

Traffords do an annual travel insurance policy for about £70 which includes medical & personal accidents while flying GA abroad
