Free Circulation Certificate
As far as I can make out , a Free Circulation Certificate (FCC) enables the holder to unhindered travel in the EU, its a document issued by HM Customs that says 'all the necessary VAT etc has been paid - leave me alone!'
It is especially useful if the original C88, the import document, has been lost. Unfortunately, the Customs no longer seem to issue these FCCs.
Does anyone have an FCC, has anyone tried applying for one in the previous year and has anyone used one in anger?
I have the name of a company in Southampton that specialises in Custom/Aviation matters and will be contacting them for help, but I waswondering if anyone has current experience of FCCs.

Koli,
I think that this was discussed some time ago in the other place so dong a search there may be productive. If nothing else it should unearth the contact details of the ex-Customs person who specialised in FCCs
From (fallible) memory I seem to recall that this was only an issue for aircraft registerd outside the EU (eg N reg).
Hope this helps
