AIS Website Down 14/3/06
The system will be taken offline at 0900 for approx 90 minutes this morning (14/3/06).
Contigency Briefs for the London & Scottish FIRs are avialable at:
www.nats.co.uk/operational/pibs/index.shtml.
There may be a need for a second shutdown later in the day.

Just to explain what went on today.
We removed in excess of 62000 registrations that have not been used for a period of 6 months or more, which has brought the number of users down to just over the 22000 mark. By removing the surplus, hopefully access for current users will be speeded up.
On the front page you will now find a password retrieval tool. Rather than emailing the AIS Supervisor, you may know enter your name and email details and an automated response will be forwarded.
AIS hope that the downtime did not cause inconvience today and thank you all for your patience whilst we carried out the upgrades.
