Flying in the Ukraine

I posted this Question a few days ago in Rotorheads, but no replies ?

I wish to fly over and visit some friends in Odessa, has anyone go any info on flying in the Ukraine ??
Are there any charts available ??
Some one suggested you have to take a local " Navigator " with you, is this correct ??
