Aviation History - Gliding Grand Prix 2006
The Kiwis are hosting a new form of gliding competition. The Grand Prix.
Different tasks, high speed, wing tip to wing tip racing, different scoring systems and heaps of real time technology making it spectator viable.
It looks like they have managed to succeed, where many have failed, by making the sport accesible to spectators.
Check out the following exciting links:

The Grand Prix website can be viewed here: http://www.gp06.com/programme.htm
Our representative, the talented and funny Peter Harvey is keeping a competition diary. It can be viewed here:http://www.glidingteam.co.uk/competi...x/viewnews.php
It makes for amusing and enlightening reading.
Hope it is of interest.
