Redhill Aerodrome, Surrey UK

Hi,

This post may be in the wrong topic so please move it as appropriate.

I would like to ask what members experiences are at Redhill Aerodrome or any general comments, anything at all (that is constructive!)

Reason I am asking is I am going there for work experience in a few months and want to know what other peoples experiences are and what you thought of the aerodrome generally.

Cheers

It still gets waterlogged in wet weather (not so bad as it used to though!)

Re: Redhill Aerodrome, Surrey UK

LGW,

Gotta be a bit more specific. What kind of feedback are you looking for? If you're going there on work experience, that's different from flying in there or looking to base an airplane there. And there are a bunch of different businesses there, each of which would produce it's own specific feedback if you're looking for work-related feedback.

Had a Pitts based there for about a year.

Any more details you can provide?

BRL,
No and I never met the owner of that one. I presume you're talking the yellow S-2C (with the square rudder and wingtips?). I left there in May of this year, moving to Brimpton for about a month (lovely place, extremely friendly people, only downside was no fuel on site), until a space opened up in a hangar at Popham. Been there since June and love it. Not only are there other Pitts' there, the people are fantastic and there's a very nice atmosphere about the place. Very welcoming, they've been to me.

How about you? Do you fly any beast regularly and where from?

OP's mainly around the south.

Do you come down to Shoreham at all on your travels?

Err, Redhill by the way, nice place, very friendly....

BRL & Pitts2112:

You did in fact bump into eachother (in person, not in aircraft!) at Popham during the PpRuNe Fly-in last Summer.
If you need further introductions, since I know you both, I can assist.

When's Norfolk, Pitts2112? Diary filling up. Mkt Bosworth is booked. Keyston is booked.
etc
