I fly my Robin Regent into Meppershall regularly for maintenance. If you want to see a classic polished floor/ operating theatre -type operation, check it out. I wouldn't use anybody else.
They will also lend you a car if available ( I borrowed a very swoopy BMW once).
The strip is approx North/ South and long enough to get light twins in.It is generally in beautiful condition but prone to waterlogging in the winter months.
Planning constraints prevent its use on a Sunday.
Despite there being no hangarage for private owners, several privately owned machines operate from there.
It is clearly a strip operated in connection with business. If you are granted permission to use it - lucky you!
All movements to the West, simply becaue a circuit to the East will result in conflict with the busy Henlow circuit.
