Did a bit of digging...
Live coverage starts on E4 on Sunday, suggesting that the shows up to then are pre-recorded. According to a TV equivalent of PPRuNe, their flight around the North Sea was on or before 16th November.
Photos of Bentwaters on these sites (ghostbase.org/bentwaters and bentwaters.org) seem to match up. It's now operated by Bentwaters Parks Ltd and used for TV etc.
Coincidentally, there were apparently some famous UFO sightings there 25 years ago (article) ...

I thought they said the cadets would train for 20 or 21 days before the 5 day "shuttle" trip. Well its only been on tele for three days (?) and tonight they start the 5 day trip. I thought that the training was pre-recorded and the 5 days was live, but I am probably wrong.
Does anyone else think that the RAF actor chappie is nothing like a real RAF chappie? I've flown with many. None like that.
As for fooling the cadets, it seems pretty easy, I mean, when did it become possible to go "into orbit" without any zero gravity?????
