Private Flying Visit to Swanwick.

Hi all. I am sorting out a forum visit to Swanwick for around six people. The date is yet to be arranged but can be worked around the people who will be going.

I know there are many here who like these visits, and also NATS like to get the opinions of PPL's on these visits too so both sides win!

There is also a chance of having a go on the simulator there

I did visit W Drayton many years ago (like 15) so it would be good to see what goes on at Swanwick.

Watch out for a visit to West Drayton coming up soon too.

Please put me on the list, have not seen a major ATC centre since I was an engineer on Linesman/Mediator 1971-75 and now I'm a PPL I'd like to see how things have changed!

Have done the West Drayton one though.

p.s. I haven't forgotten your night flight over the lights of Brighton, just waiting on the magic wording on my licence!! But don't let that sway you

Is this likely to be mid week or a weekend?

Are you talking about over the Christmas break, or in Jan/Feb?

If it was a weekend in Jan/Feb I would be interested in picking up a Ryanair across for the weekend.

I'd be interested in a visit to Swanwick. Where is it?

Would love the chance to visit - I can only do weekends though, so if it's during the week, disregard me!

Anyone know if there's somewhere decent to land nearby - but not Southampton as I can;t afford it anymore!
