Cirrus instrumentation

The question is simple : in Cirrus aircraft equipped with the primary flight display, what is used for NAV2? The way I see it, you only have the electronic HSI on the PFD and that is probably NAV1. Further than that, no (visible) VOR is available.

There must be someone out there with enough cirrus-experience to answer this, isn't there?

Hi

The PFD can display in one form or another 3 out of the 4 navigation sources.

The Nav selector controls the CDI which can display GPS1, VLOC1, GPS2 or VLOC2.
The Bearing selector shows an RMI on the screen from any of the nav sourses, but can also be turned off, so not to clutter the screen with unwanted information.
The Aux selector displays digital data on the PFD from any of the nav sources and can be turned off also.

The 2 VOR's can be displayed on the same EHSI, one as a CDI and one as an RMI.

Hope this helps.
