Developments at Lydd

I've publically moaned about this airfield before, so now, credit where credit's due, it's nice to be able to complement the place.

With a nice new runway and taxiways, full ATC and an ILS on the way, it's really worth a visit. And all for the new lower landing fee of a tenner inc VAT in your average spamcan.

Bravo Lydd!

Or Sunday 30th - that way I can probably rack up an hour's night on the way home before the airfield closes!

Bugger, I shall be at a seminar in Edinburgh that weekend, shame I like Lydd.

If the weather is C***p, delay it a few weeks will you chaps, I should have an interesting new aeroplane to fly in by then.

Thanks for posting this - having been there once years ago and paid a fortune (over £25 I think?) for what were then cr*p facilities, this is good news indeed and so I shall certainly add them to my list of places to stsop at!

I would expect that full ATC is a step in the right direction, no?
