Plain Paper Charts

Can anyone please tell me, is it still possible to obtain 1:25,000 or 1: 500,000 charts in plain paper? I find the laminated ones so clumsy.

Broomstick.

If you don't mind the slightly different symbology, Jeppesen 1:500,000 charts come on plain paper.

It is possible. Loganair uses unlaminated UK (not Jepp) charts in their BN2 fleet - thank christ. I loathe laminated charts. Whirly dislikes them too. Can't remember LC they got them from. Give them a call & ask. Can't remember the number - it's been a year or two since worked there.

Tinny, you have an amazing memory. I remember telling you I didn't like laminated charts...but it was ages ago!

Wrestling with a laminated chart in the confined space of an R22 is a nightmare! Probably explains why I try not to look at it very often.

You should be still be able to acquire Paper charts - look at the latest Green AIC (Chart Catalogue) on the AIS website.

Thanks, Guys, one and all.

I shall indeed follow up all these suggestions.

Best regards,

Broomstick.
