I agree with SSD. Tried the hand out the window yesterday in a 30 kt wind. Propwash on the palm of the hand but, as QDM suggests, it had dissipated by the time it got to the tail as the stick wanted to thrash around.
Good idea though - excellent way to start a discussion on the subject of where to put the stick.
