A question of money...
Can anybody help me please?
I would like a ball park figure (because I appreciate that it can be nothing but that) on a cost for the following.
I gained an FAA PPL(A) in the US way back in 1992.
I would like to convert that to a JAR PPL and then add a multi-engine rating.
I gather that all the ground school exams would have to be taken. I know that at least 10 hours dual would be needed before the flight test, then I guess it would be onto the multi-engine rating.
I have flown sporadically (very) in the years since I got the licence, including 'another' first solo 3 years ago.
Any rough ideas peeps?
Much obliged

• The holder of a current and valid PPL(A)* issued by an ICAO Contracting State (not being a JAA Member State), who has flown a minimum of 100 hours as pilot of aeroplanes, is credited the JAR-FCL PPL(A) flying training/experience requirements, except the PPL(A) Skill Test.
• The holder of a current and valid PPL(A) issued by an ICAO Contracting State (not being a JAA Member State), who has flown less than 100 hours as pilot of aeroplanes, but meets the JAR-FCL PPL(A) flying experience requirements (as per JAR-FCL 1.126B) is credited the flying training, except the PPL(A) Skill Test.

Above taken from C.1.1 of LASORS
That will get you the JAA PPL. How many hours do you think you will need to pass the Skills Test?
Of course if you don't have a current BFR on your FAA PPL you'll need to get that first as well so as to make it "current and valid"
