Question Lisbon

Anyone any secrets about flying to Lisbon ?

LPPT ot LPCS ?

I fly IFR all the time and it seems there is no IFR approach to Cascais. Is Lisbon to big / expensive ? Seems to have no 100LL available.

Sorry to state the obvious, but why not fly vfr? Surely the SR20 has a front window? Cascais is great...as is Santa Cruz

To answer my own question, LPCS Cascais does have an instrument approach

Just a quick look at Jeppview.

And yes, the SR20 does have a front window, but I have to make my 6 approaches every 6 months, and for me IFR is standard OPS. Have to put my Sandel, two Garmin 430's, the S-tec 55x and the Avidyne MFD to work

Is that a standard Dutch requirement? Or perhaps Lisbon is as good a place to go to practice IFR?

What is Sandel & Avidyne MFD?

Just out of interest.

- The 6 approaches (to minimums) are for the FAA IR currency (with at least one hold).

- The Sandel 3308 is an electronic HSI (EHSI) / moving map which also shows NAV's / airfields, stormscope data, airspaces, route, etc.

They now sell the 3500
www.sandel.com

The Avidyne 5000c Multi Function Display is a 10,4" moving map / checklist display / nearest airfield display / route display / Jepp chart display (C-max) / Engine monitoring and leaning help display (E-max) and the option for WXworks nexrad/metar weather and messaging in the US.

www.avidyne.com

But I only use it for inflight entertainment

p.s. This is not my SR22, I don't have the PFD, I have a classic SR20

Oh the lovely SR20, i just love cirrus a/c would love to do PPL training in one, but they don't do it over here in the Uk, the only place i found out during my research was a flying school in Australia (bit too far just to go and do PPL Training).

Regarding Lisbon, i know a Portuguese Aviation forum that might be able to help you, if you still require the information let me know.

Regards
