Plane lands on top of Porsche

strange news

Plane lands on top of Porsche

short summary:

Bitburg, Germany

55 year old driver of Porsche and 58 year old pilot escaped without injuries when a small plane landed on top of a Porsche.

Apparently the guy in the Porsche was allowed to drive on an the airfield, and the pilot had not asked for landing clearance on this airfield when the incident happened.

Well

that is the story if you belive the usually not so correct and sensational jurnos.

The more correct looking one is that the pilot did land his homebuilt and the porsche hit him from behind. What is interesting is that the airport was not known to be closed and the Luxembourg-Porsche-Club was allowed to make some dirving tests on the runway anyway. But since no journalistic person has tried to give the full account of the story there is a) no link and b) no more details available.

Aircraft landed on a porch?

Pilot probably thought he saw a LANDING light on.

The plane was a Messerschmitt Bf 109 replica, traveling at half the speed of the car when it happened.

I think a Triumph Stag would make a better headline "Airplane mounts Stag"

or "Stag mounts Airplane" depending on who's going to foot the bill.
