Clearwater airpark
All,
I'm looking to rent for a couple of days (about 10hrs TT)from Clearwater airpark in september this year. Does anyone have any experience of them at all good or bad?
Thanks in advance,
Jimbo

Hi Jimbo,
Completely echo Ogvite - good spot. I rented an Archer from Suncoast flying services, nice aeroplane, nice people, nice FBO (comfy settee's good coffee and doughnuts). Only one runway so crosswinds could be an issue, good place to base a flying holiday though.
Enjoy it!

They were a nice bunch of people when I used them a few years ago. Hopefully they have buried the old PA28 that they rented to me though!!! Yes, as Oscar Kilo points out, x winds can be an issue especially late afternoon when the sea breeze kicks in. Also make sure that you are fully aware of the traffic procedures in effect there. It causes hastle with the locals and the neighbouring St Pete. airport.

I rented a Cessna from them last year and would recommend them, but they seem to have disappeared from Airnav (http://www.airnav.com/airport/KCLW) which is not a good sign...
